Park-The
sparkling clear water of 16-acre Menomonee
Quarry Lake provides great opportunties
for scuba diving, swimming and fishing.
Hikers, skiers, snowmobilers and horseback
riders will find trails throughout
the 397 acres of rolling fields, maple
woods, cattail marshes and wetlands.
From Menomonee Falls, take Hwy. 74
southwest past Lannon to Cty. V. Turn
north and travel 1 1/2 miles. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
toilets, tent sites, trailer sites,
swimming, beach, dressing rooms, hiking,
nature trails, cross-country skiing,
volleyball.
Minooka
Park-A
four-acre swimming and fishing pond
is a major summer attraction, along
with opportunties for nature study,
hiking, and horseback riding through
the woods. In the winter visitors
come for sledding and cross-country
skiing. Picnic areas are provided
throughout the park, along with facilities
for baseball, volleyball. soccer and
archery. A group campsite is also
available. From Waukesha, take Racine
Ave. southeast to Sunset Drive. Turn
west and continue to the park. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
toilets, swimming, beach, dressing
rooms, hiking, nature trails, cross-country
skiing, baseball, volleyball.
Muskego
Park-In
the summer, the major attraction at
this park is the swimming beach on
a one-acre manmade pond. Hikers, skiers
and horseback riders will find trails
winding through the park.There are
also 24 campsites available. From
the junction of Cty. Y and Cty. L
in Muskego, take Cty. L west 3/4 mile
to the park. Picnic tables, picnic
shelter, outhouses, toilets, tent
sites, trailer sites, swimming, beach,
dressing rooms, hiking, cross-country
skiing, baseball, volleyball, tennis.
Naga-Waukee
Park-This park has access
to Lake Nagawicka, which is used for
swimming, fishing, sailing, waterskiing,
boating and canoeing. Hikers can take
a footpath through the park, and the
more adventurous can start a trek
on the Ice Age Trail, which runs through
the park. The park offers 33 campsites
for visitors. East of Delafield, exit
I-94 at Hwy. 83. Continue 1/2 mile
north on Hwy. 83. Turn east on Golf
Rd. and go to Cty. E. Turn north on
E and travel 1/2 mile to the entrance.
