Ridge Trail

This is part of a network of trails that includes the Assessor's Trail and the Lauterman Trail. Ridge Trail can be accessed from the Chipmunk Rapids or Lost Lake Campgrounds/Cabins or the Assessor's Trail. The Ridge Trail winds along the top of an aspen-birch ridge and along the scenic Pine River. Other portions of the trail pass through young aspen, spruce-fir, northern hardwood, and hemlock forest.

Directions: From Florence, take State Highway 70 west for 15-1/2 miles to FR 2450. Turn left and go I mile south to FR 2156, then 2 miles southeast to Chipmunk Rapids Campground. Turn left into campground and the trailhead is on the right with parking for 4 vehicles on the left.

Trail Length: Approximately 3-1/3 miles.

Difficulty: Some gently rolling and steep terrain.
