We had to cancel last years trip to Cable so we decided to try the area this year. As usual we met in Valders and headed out from there. A quick stop in Wausau for refreshments and snacks and back on the road. We picked up McGyver in Tripoli which wasn't too far out of the way. Our destination was Lakewoods Resort. We rented a nice condo. The next morning the renters went to get their sleds. The place was much further than expected. It was a 25 mile ride back to meet the others. We would not do this again. It wasted too much time. The snow conditions were not very good. Not much snow. We made a loop back to Lakewoods. After a game of Mexican we headed for a meal at Lakewoods. Duke hit it off good with our server, T. Manning. We had a good meal and then headed to the bar for some more refreshments. The next day we made a loop in the other direction. The scenery was nice, too bad the snow wasn't better. We didn't put on as many miles as we normally do. Back at Lakewoods we had another nice meal after another game of Mexican. Lakewoods Resort is a nice place to stay, if the snow conditions are good. The Judge liked the Polaris he rented so much he went out and bought one for next year.
