This years trip was supposed to be near Cable, but due to lack of snow we stayed at Dukes place on Rest Lake near Manitowish Waters. We arrived late at night after a few stops along the way. After a few hours sleep we were ready to hit the trails. We were heading to the Land O Lakes area. After about 10 miles McGyver flipped his rental sled and himself. Minor damage. The trails were fair to poor with some bare spots and ice on the corners. Had to stop in Boulder Junction on the way back to get new carbides for Dukes machine. Then it was some night riding back to Rest Lake. Once back to Dukes we settled in to, the annual "Mexican" game. This years was no different than other years, another great time! After a few hours sleep we were ready to hit the trails again, except the Arctic Cat wouldn't start. Good thing one of the rental machines was a 2 up so Duke was able to catch a ride. Our destination for the day was Hurley. The trails up this way weren't any better than the day before. We took trail 17 back to Mercer from Hurley and it was in poor shape. We stopped in Mercer and then headed back to Rest Lake. After another Mexican game we went out for a nice dinner. The place we went to eat had a snowmobile raffle so it was quite crowded. We were standing there waiting for a seat when they drew the winner of the snowmbile. It just happened the winner was one of us. McGyver won a 2007 Polaris 600 HO IQ!!!!!!!!
