The 12th annual trip began in Valders where we all met Your destination was Munising, Mi.. One new addition to the crew, "Tex". He is Eddy's brother so he was allowed to participate in this year's events. The ride up was uneventful. One stop north of Peshtigo to quench our thirst, and a stop in Chatham for some pool and we were up there. The next morning we headed for Paradise after installing filters. It didn't take Tex too long to get his snow legs and soon we were clipping along at a good pace. We were told by some snowmobilers not to head north to Grand Marais. They told us to head towards Seney. What a mistake! The trails were bumpy and muddy and even had puddles.The trails the first day ranged from poor to good. That night the usual dice game was played. The supreme penalty was a half glass of beer with a filter dipped into it like a tea bag. Tex spewed a little upon seeing that. They were lucky, no one had to drink it. The next day we headed back going north to Grand Marais. The trails were great!! Stopped at the Bear Trap for a late lunch. That night was another friendly game of dice with the Judge officiating. Can't wait till next year!
