The crew started out near Munising again this year. Our goal was Ravenswood Lodge near L'Anse, about 160 miles away. The trail to Marquette is pretty straight and kind of boring. We arrived in Marquette to get gas earlier than we thought. That is a bad place to get gas. I think there is only one place to get gas and you have to go all the way through town to get there. Not fun at all. The trail from Marquette to Big Bay was new. That was a very nice ride. Alot of different terrain. We ate lunch in Big Bay and made Ravenswood by nightfall. The usual hot tubbing, good food and Mexican game went on that night. Duke almost got a heavy penalty for possibly trying to pour part of a martini down the bathroom sink when no one was watching. Thanks to Mechanic keeping a close watch on things we were able to question Duke about it. He denied it and the Judge didn't impose a penalty. There was a rumour that the Judge was paid off by Duke. That would never happen, the Judge is fair. The one member of the crew that didn't make it this year brought up the question of a payoff.by Duke to keep from getting penalized by the Judge.. Watch out next trip McGyver!!! You WILL be penalized. Chef ended up becoming ill and was forced to stay at the Lodge. We made an uneventful trip back to Munising the next day.
