We met in Valders for the trip up again. The judge and McIver both got stuck trying to get
up the hill to the chef's house. Uneventful ride up. The next day started good. The trail from Baraga
through L'Anse wasn't real good. From L'Anse to Ishpeming it was great. Eddy lost all his brake fluid
so stopping was a problem for him. The judge ended up in a small tree when he missed a corner.
He developed a hernia trying to get it out. We made it to Ishpeming early
so the "Mexican" game got a nice early start. After we were primed we headed for the
bowling alley. We played pool and arm wrestled with the locals. Met some interesting people.
Somebody kept letting off stink bombs in the bowling alley and it got pretty stinky in there.
Who would do a thing like that?
After a nice greasy breakfast the next morning we were on our way back. We stopped for awhile by
a river and walked over to a pretty waterfalls. The trails were great. We got back to Baraga early
so we took another loop. Nice trail through some giant pines.
That night we went to the bar in the hotel. The crazy lady we saw at breakfast in Ishpeming
was in the bar. She called the police because she thought she was being harassed.
While the bartender was out mediating the disturbance the mechanic became
the bartender for awhile and was serving drinks. We had a nice night.
