We had decided to meet at the chef's place in Valders. Brian flew in from Washington.
Finally we left. It was quite windy on the way up and
things kept flying past the truck. Cans and cardboard?
We got to White Pine and saw someone naked jumping up and down in front of one
of the windows. Never sure who that was! The next day started off fine.
Less than 10 miles into the trip Brian came over a hill too fast and tried to stop and rolled his machine.
The windshield broke and it wouldn't start. McIver took the kill switch apart and it was broken in the
kill location. He bypassed the switch and we were on our way. The trails were in good shape.
We stopped in Houghton for a good lunch and headed for Eagle River.
That night at the Eagle River Inn room wars broke out. I can't go into the details. You would have had
to have been there to experience it firsthand. The free wine was a bonus .Mechanic smoothed it out with
the owners the next day. On the way back to White Pine the next day Brian got his machine fixed up.
It took more than a couple of band-aids. We stopped at a bar for a couple a few miles before we got to
White Pine. When we left it was decided the sober judge would lead the way at a reasonable speed.
As we pulled into the parking lot at the motel Tomba followed the wrong group back out onto the trail.
About 1 1/2 hours later he found his way back. So then the games began.
Snowmobiling with 9 guys, what a trip!
