Apple
River Property-A
largely undeveloped 59 acre site, the property
offers fishing and canoe access to the Apple
River. From the junction of Hwy. 35 and 64
in Somerset, take 64 east to Cty. C. Turn
northeast on C and travel to the property
access, which is just east of Huntington.
Canoe access (no formal landing)
Glen
Hills Park-The
largest park in St. Croix County, this park
centers around Glen Lake, which is fed by
Beaver Creek. The lake has a swimming beach.Anglers
can fish for bluegill, trout and largemouth
bass. Canoes, rowboats and paddle boats can
be rented. Visitors can also hike a trail
around the lake and picnic near the lake.
Sixty one campsites are provided for overnight
stays. From Menomonee in Dunn County, take
I-94 west 16 miles to Glenwood City exit(Hwy.
128). Take 128 north 4 miles to Cty. E. Turn
east and travel one mile to Rustic Road 3.
Turn north and travel one mile to the campground
entrance, or two miles to the day use entrance.
Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
tent sites, trailer sites, swimming, beach,
dressing rooms, hiking, cross-country skiing,
baseball, volleyball, golf, playground, boat
landing.
Pine
Lake Park-Located
on Pine Lake-Baldwin, this park offers a pleasant
picnic spot, with a shelter and tables for
visitor use. Mainly an anglers park, the site
is open to pan fishing. From the junction
of I-94 and hwy. 63, take 63 north through
Baldwin. Continue 4 miles past Baldwin to
110th Ave. Turn west and go 1/2 mile to 205th
St. Turn north and go one mile to the park
entrance. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
boat landing.
Troy
Park-Opening
onto Lake St. Croix, of the scenic St. Croix
River, this park contains a nice swimming
beach and picnic tables. From I-94 at Hudson
take Carmichael Road exit. Go south and the
road will turn inot Cty. F. Continue three
miles and turn west on County FF. Picnic tables,
swimming beach.
