Barker
Park-The Wolf
River is popular with powerboating enthusiasts
and anglers in search of walleye, bass, northern
pike or catfish. Canoeing is difficult on
this river. Barker Park, in addition to its
boat landing provides a picnic area. From
new London, thake Hwy. 45 north to Hwy. 54.
Turn east on hwy. 54 and travel about eight
miles to Old 54 Road. Turn south and continue
to the park. Picnic tables, boat landing.
Black
Otter Park-Located
in the south corner of Hortenville, this park
offers a view of Black Otter Lake, picnic
facilities and a boat landing. From New London,
take hwy. 45 east to Hortenville. Picnic tables,
picnic shelter, boat landing.
Buchman
Access-This
roadside park offers a boat landing and picnic
spot on the Wolf River. From New London, take
Hwy. 45 east to Hortonville. Then turn north
on Cty. M and continue to the park. Picnic
tables, boat landing.
Koepke
Access-A boat landing in this park
provides access to the Wolf River. There is
also a picnic area on the site. From New London,
take Hwy. 45 north to Hwy. 54. Turn east on
Hwy. 54 and travel about eight miles to Hwy.
76. Turn north and go about 1 1/2 miles to
Koepke Road. Turn west and continue to the
access. Picnic tables, boat landing.
Mosquito
Hill Nature Center-An extensive network
of hiking trails winds through this 430 acre
nature preserve just east of New London. Open
to the public Saturdays and Sundays, offering
a full schedule of guided hikes and nature
programs. Snowshoes may be rented in the winter.From
New London travel east on Cty. S. Toilets,
hiking, nature trails.
Plamann
park-This park,
located north of Appleton, is a popular outdoor
spot year-round. From Appleton, take Hwy.
47 north to Broadway Drive. Turn east and
continue to the park.Picnic tables, picnic
shelters, toilets, swimming, beach, dressing
rooms, hiking, nature trails, cross-country
skiing, baseball, volleyball, tennis, playground.
Stephensville
Access-This is a boat landing on
the Wolf River, primarily used by power boats.
From New London, take Cty. S east about seven
miles. Picnic tables, boat landing.
