Almon
Recreation Area-This
area offers an extensive system of hiking
and nature trails. Swimmers and beach-goers
have to walk through the woods to get to the
sand beach on Buck lake. From Rhinelander,
take Cty. G southeast 2two miles to Laffig
Road. Go south on Laffig Road a half mile
to Hixon Lake Road and turn right. The park
entrance is about a mile down the road. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses, swimming,
beach dressing rooms, hiking, nature trails.
Bass
Lake park-This
lake is stocked with northern pike, bass and
panfish. The park offers a rustic picnic area
and boat landing. Go west from Rhinelander
on Hwy. 8 about 25 miles to McCord Road. Go
north five miles to Bass Lake Road. Go east
to the park entrance. Picnic tables, outhouses,
boat landing.
Perch
Lake Park-Anglers
will appreciate this lake for the trout that
are planted each year. Take Cty. K eight miles
west of Rhinelander to Washburn lake Road
and go south. Turn east on Trout Lake Road,
and go 1/4 mile to the entrance. Picnic tables,
outhouses, boat landing.
Town
Line Lake Park-Despite
it location only two miles from Rhinelander,
this park has an out-of the way environment.
From Rhinelander, take Cty. K west 1/4 mile
to the park. Picnic tables, picnic shelter,
outhouses, swimming beach, hiking, playground,
boat landing.
