Chute
Pond park-Located
on the Oconto River Flowage, this park features
waterfalls visible from one of the hiking
trails in the park. Campsites are available.
From Mountain, travel south on Hwy. 32 to
East Shore Drive. Turn west and continue to
the park. Picnic tables, outhouses, tent sites,
trailer sites, swimming, beach, hiking, boat
landing.
County
park 1-This
park contains a boat landing providing access
to Green Bay. From oconto, take hwy. 41 north
3 1/2 miles to Cty. A. Turn east and go two
miles to Cty. Y. Turn north and go 2 1/2 miles
to the landing. Boat landing only.
Gillet
Park-This small
park on the Oconto River offers a place for
fishing and boat portaging. From Gillett,
take Cty. BB south 2 1/2 miles to the landing.
Boat landing only.
Grange
park-Mainly
a day-use park, this park provides a spot
for picnicking and fishing on Little River.
From Oconto, take hwy. 41 north four miles
to Cty. A. Turn west and travel five miles.
Cross little River to the park. Picnic shelter,
outhouses.
Machickanee
Public Boat Access- With
access to the Machickanee Flowage on the Oconto
River, the park provides entry for fishing
and boating. Anglers can hook northern pike,
walleye, large and smallmouth bass, pan fish,
trout and salmon. From Oconto Falls, take
Hwy. 22 east to 141. Turn south and travel
2 1/2 miles to Chicken Shach Road. Turn west
and go to Landing Lane. Continue west to the
park. Outhouses, boat landing.
North
Bay Shore Recreation Area-A
good spot for perch and salmon fishing, this
park provides boating access to Green Bay.
Thirty three campsites are available. From
oconto take Hwy. 41 north 3 1/2 miles to Cty.
A. Turn east and travel two miles to Cty.
Y. Turn nort and travel 3 1/2 miles to the
park. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
tent sites, trailer sites, volleyball, playground,
boat landing.
Patzer
Park-This small park on the Oconto
River provides a spot for boating and picnicking.
From Gillett, take Hwy. 32 north about one
mile to Cty. H. Turn west and travel about
five miles to Hintz. The park will be on the
southwest side of the Oconto River in town.
Picnic tables, outhouses, boat landing.
Pioneer
park-Situated on 80 acres of majestic
pines, this park offers a fishing
pond primarily for day use. From Oconto Falls,
take Hwy. 22 east to Hwy. 141. Travel south
about about 1 1/2 miles to Cty. I, just north
of the Oconto River. Turn west and go 1/8
mile to Pioneer park Road. Turn north and
travel 1/2 mile to the park.
