
Camp New Wood
Recreation Area-The
Wisconsin River and four miles of
the Ice Age Trail run through this
area. Eight campsites are available
and picnic areas are equipped with
grills. Take Hwy. 107 north from Merril
about eight miles to the park. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
tent sites, trailer sites, hiking,
playground, boat landing.
Otter lake
Recreation Area-A
series of old logging roads now used
for hiking winds through this hilly,
isolated park on Otter lake. The quiet
park has 25 campsites, grills, cross-country
skiing, swimming, beach, boat landing.
Take Hwy. 51 north from Merrill Cty.
S and go east. Follow S to Town Hall
Road and continue east to Grundy Road.
Go north on Grundy Road to Bear Trail
Road, and east on Bear Trail Road
to Otter Lake Road. Picnic tables,
outhouses, tent sites, trailer sites,
swimming, beach, dressing rooms, hiking,
nature trails, cross-country skiing,
boat landing
