Veteran's
Memorial Park-Located
just south of Crandon on Lake Metonga,
this park offers 65 campsites, some
with electricity, along 900 feet of
sandy beach. The lake water is clear
and shallow for at least 100 feet
from shore, making it ideal for family
swimming. Anglers will find an abundance
of fish, including walleye, northern
pike, large and smallmouth bass, bluegill,
black crappie, rock bass, pumpkinseed
and white sucker. Handicapped-accessible
facilities are available. From Crandon,
take Hwy. 55 to Cty. W. Go south on
W to Keith Siding Road and go west.
Turn right on East Shore Road, where
the park is located. Picnic tables,
picnic shelter, outhouses, tent sites,
trailer sites, swimming, beach, volleyball,
playground, boat landing.
