Calumet
County Park-Located on the eastern
shore of Lake Winnebago, Calumet County Park
features six panther shaped effigy mounds,
ranging in size from 100 to 320 feet, and
a portion of the Niagara Escarpment. Campers
can choose for 71 campsites situated on the
lakefront and nestled in the woodsa, 49 with
electricity. Showers are available. Anglers
will appreciate Lake Winnebago, stocked with
the largestpopulation of lake sturgeon in
North America.From Stockbridge take Hwy. 55
north 2 miles to County EE. Go west 2 miles
on EE. Pcnic tables, outhouses, toilets, tent
sites, trailer sites, swimming, beach, hiking,
nature trails aqnd boat landing.
Ledge
View Nature Center-Those
up for a physical challenge will want to explore
the three caves here--crawling, crouching
and squeezing is required Visitors can also
enjoy the wildflowers in the prairie, the
look out tower and the nature trails. Take
Cty. G south from Chilton to Short Road,on
which Ledge View is located. Picnic tables,
outhouses, hiking and nature trails.
