Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Namekagon Campground This campground is situated on a large lake that is the headwaters of the Namekagon River. There are 34 sites which can accommodate RV's between 35-45 feet. All sites have fire grates and picnic tables. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Also available are water pumps, accessible vault toilets, boat ramp, fishing pier, swimming beach, picnic ground, pay telephone, and picnic shelter. Recreation opportunities in the area include excellent fishing, wildlife viewing, mountain biking trails, and hiking on the North Country National Scenic Trail. Located approximately 17 miles east of Cable, drive
east on Highway M 10.9 miles to Highway D. Turn left (north) on D and
proceed 5.5 miles to Forest Road 209. Turn left (west) and proceed 0.3
miles to the campground.
